Acoustic Guitar

A steel strung acoustic guitar is louder and sounds brighter than a classical guitar . There are many different variations on how these guitars are constructed and the materials used. Higher priced acoustic guitars tend to have a solid top, solid back and sides. Materials often used for solid wood tops are spruce or cedar. Back and sides are often made from mahogany, maple or rosewood. Entry level acoustic guitars tend to be constructed entirely from laminated wood. Mid-range acoustic tend to feature a combination of solid parts, often solid top, and laminated woods.
